Job Description

The Distribution Center is the heartbeat of our company. Every piece of furniture sold from our stores comes through this location. It's a fast paced job that requires an individual to be task oriented and ready to run. As soon as one project is done there is always another waiting. A full time schedule consists of: 3 shifts Monday through Friday from 10 am - 8 pm, Saturday 10 am - 8 pm, and Sunday 12 pm - 5 pm. We typically schedule days off together and once a schedule is created it is fairly consistent and doesn't fluctuate. Starting wage is $12/hr with opportunities to move up in the company along with pay increases within 60 days and annual performance increases. Come grow with us!


 


Daily duties include but are not limited to:


o Unloading trucks with use of hand-carts (dolly)


o Load and tie down merchandise into vehicles for customer pick up


o Open merchandise for assembly


o Staging of merchandise for delivery


o Use of trash compactor and cardboard baler


o Sweeping, mopping, cleaning of bathrooms


o Can occasionally be used on the delivery truck to load and unload furniture into customers homes or transfer merchandise from store to store


o Forklift experience a plus. These are platform style forklifts which the worker goes up with the merchandise and places it into the rack. Platforms go up to a height of 20 ft.


o Environment: Warehouse conditions are similar to outdoor climates so it gets hot during Summer and cold during Winter.


o Physical demands: Must be able to stand for the entire shift, sometimes walking up to 2-3 miles per day, lift 50-75 pounds consistently, be generally adept at using hand tools


o Must be able to pass a background check and produce a negative urine sample for controlled substances.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
