Receiver Position Objective:
To assist customers in their shopping experience by ensuring all products delivered to the store are handled, stored and managed properly.
Reporting Structure:
This position formally reports to the Store Director.
Status:
This is a non-exempt position.
Knowledge The following is a list of any certifications, formal education, or training requirements for this position.
Essential Knowledge Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan.
Maintain a valid Cosentino's DSD Certification (renewed annually).
Non-Essential Knowledge A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Essential Job Functions Effectively manages company finances by counting and entering correct quantities for items received to ensure accurate deliveries from vendors, effectively manages vendor credits before check-in process begins, and confirming that final DSD documents are within $2.

Effectively follows through on documentation by signing, stamping, and filing all final delivery copies each day and properly notes any refused liquor items on company invoices.
Knows the store's products, procedures and policies and can accurately and courteously answer vendor and customer questions.
Know, comply with, and encourage other team members to comply with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store.
Effectively monitors back door security by maintaining visual contact with the doors at all times when it is unlocked and/or open and ensures roll up doors are locked and secured when not in use.
Demonstrates proper receipt of product in the staging area away from back stock and accurately counts and enters quantities for each individual item received.
Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.
Shows a focus on customer satisfaction and convenience by scanning each vendor item into the hand-held when product arrives to ensure all UPCs are in the system.
Actively works to keep the work area and the department as a whole clean and safe for vendors, customers and coworkers.
Able to quickly unload incoming shipments and neatly stock them in their designated areas without damaging merchandise.
Addresses vendor and/or customer complaints in a professional manner and recognizes when it is appropriate to involve a member of the store management team.
Knows and implements the Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
Demonstrates the strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.
Demonstrates the basic math and reading skills required for the position.
Non-Essential Job Functions Maintains high level of security by inspecting all empty boxes, packages and trays for product before vendors leave the store, as well as verifying receipts for any purchases.
Effectively maintains control over the number of drivers allowed in the receiving area and monitors activities to ensure the highest level of security.
Support your company by completing additional tasks identified by management, assisting other stores or departments as needed and gaining new skills when necessary.
Physical Abilities The following physical movements could potentially be part of any scheduled shift and employees will be expected to perform these actions while on duty.
Essential Abilities Reaching overhead with both arms, twisting at the waist and lifting objects with both hands weighing up to 20 lbs.
Pushing and pulling grocery items to the proper locations as needed, up to a peak force of 50 lbs.
Standing and walking for long periods of time on tile, asphalt, concrete or other hard surfaces.
Repeatedly lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Bending and squatting, at times all the way to floor level.
Able to work in colder conditions of the grocery coolers and freezers.
Non-Essential Abilities Climbing a ladder, possibly up to 15ft.
